CareerSpring is a networking and job placement platform for first generation and/or low-income (FGLI) students and graduates. Its mission is to unlock the employment potential of its FGLI students and graduates by providing career information, social capital, and job placement services.

"I have had the honor of serving as a board member for the Big Shoulders Fund for over a decade, including the past two years as board Co-Chair. The Big Shoulders Fund is dedicated to supporting 72 inner-city Catholic schools in Chicago and 20 in Northwest Indiana, providing crucial student scholarships, funding for school capital needs, and essential operational support. With a focus on delivering a high-quality, values-based education, they serve 25,000 students and consistently achieve exceptional high school and college graduation rates, particularly among Black and Latino students. While my role in governance is fulfilling, the most rewarding aspect of my involvement is visiting the schools, witnessing the impactful work of the teachers, and seeing how these schools become vital community hubs, offering social and athletic programs, as well as food distribution to those in need."

“My involvement with Connections for the Homeless began in 2013, where I served on the Board of Directors for nearly a decade. Today, our family remains actively involved with my wife now on the Board and both of us supporting the capital campaign. This is reflective of our ongoing commitment to the organization and its mission. Connections for the Homeless is dedicated to preventing homelessness by offering eviction assistance, emergency shelter, and permanent housing solutions, as well as advocating for affordable housing to strengthen our community."
